What's happening
Upon arriving for your session, you may notice that I will greet your children before greeting you if children are involved. This has been a proven tactic that works well for children. I like to give all attention to your kiddo(s), usually your youngest, because children LOVE thinking they are the center of attention. I like to gain their trust and attention by making them feel like they have ALL the attention right off the bat.
I find that if we spend time doing formal introductions and chatting among the adults, the kiddo(s) are already finding other things to be distracted by and will start to wear down before we even get started. So, I like to talk to them and get started as soon as possible if we are doing family photos with younger kiddo(s).
I am laid back and hope you take a relax and causal approach to your photo session as well. It makes for a much more enjoyable experience from start to finish!
Mini sessions are short and sweet (30 minutes). Mini sessions are perfect for younger kiddo(s)! Kiddo(s) are always super cooperative in the first few minutes and tend to get bored and "over it" as time progresses. Making minis perfect for them! Mini session will get you 5 photos.
The all in one package is painless (1.5-2 hours). All in one package are great for families who need more than 5 photos and want more posing options. It is also great for larger families. Family sessions will get, all family members together, dad with kids, mom with kids, kids together, mom and dad together, and I always try and get kids individual photos. All in one package will get you 20 to 25 photos.
My focus is getting you the BEST photos possible. If your session runs longer, I will accommodate if we have time and can get the photos (I certainly will not make you stick around going through misery if your kiddo(s) are in full breakdown mode and clearly not going to play along).
Therefore, I like to stick to the package and time frame you have chosen. It gives us enough cushion for the “what if” that's why I have picked the times for the packages the way I did, because kiddo(s) can be unpredictable.
If your session goes super smoothly and we get the photos before your time is done, then you can be on your way and enjoy the rest of your day/evening and possibly give your extra time to the next family whose kiddo(s) may not be as cooperative and needs that extra time.
If the session before your run’s long and delays your scheduled start time, I promise you will still be given the same focus and time that you paid for! You will not be cut short!
Photo counts are an “average” if there are great photos, I am not going to delete them to stick with the around 5 or 20 to 25 photos. I am going to give you them! BONUS!
On the other side, if you have kiddo(s) that just aren't cooperate, no matter what we all try, you may end up with only 20 photos (depending what package you choose). I just want you to know that this is not from lack of trying.
It's rare if I can’t get the 20 to 25 photos and even more rare to have under 5 photos with a mini session.
